Operator – Packaging Maintenance

About the Role

BIL consists of two sub-departments: transport and packaging maintenance. As an operator within packaging maintenance, you are responsible for the storage, handling, and maintenance of packaging used for external transport.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and Quality

• Perform maintenance work on packaging and associated equipment
• Follow up and control packaging quality and report to the packaging type responsible
• Register completed maintenance in SAP and in quality documents
• Participate in the development of processes and methods within packaging maintenance

Logistics and Transport

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes within the operational area
• Be responsible for loading and unloading packaging, including fuel if necessary
• Coordinate inspectors from third parties and transport of empty packaging
• Support the transport coordinator as needed

Administration and Collaboration

• Ensure order and cleanliness in the packaging workshop
• Collaborate with and supply manufacturing workshops with maintained packaging

Qualifications

• Relevant education in maintenance technology (technical, mechanical, and pneumatic)
• Good computer skills and experience working in SAP and Excel
• Forklift license
• Driver's license
• Overhead crane license - advantageous

The position as an operator is a consulting assignment. The position is part of our staffing services, which means you are employed by us at Adecco but work at the client’s site. The employment form is full-time. The assignment starts in March and runs for 6 months with good opportunities for permanent employment with the client.
